Our Story
NYUKKI was born from my initiative as a young French-Beninese entrepreneur. Every yearDuring my years of study in Europe, I noticed that African honeys were almost completely absent from the shelves of Western fine food shops. That is why, I set myself an ambitious challenge. My goal is clear: to introduce the European public to our African honey brand with exceptional and little-known bee products.
It all started in Benin, my home country. This land is famous for its shea butter, but also for its exceptional shea honey with woody notes. And so, this passion grew into a strong vocation. Today we want to cultivate and share Africa’s natural riches in a fair, sustainable and environmentally friendly way.
Today, NYUKKI goes far beyond Benin. We are committed to revealing the African continent’s unique treasures to the whole world: rare single-flower honeys, wild spices, natural cosmetics, crafts and much more. Each of our products is carefully selected for its exceptional qualities, its traceable origin and its positive impact on producer communities.
NYUKKI is above all a community of small producers and passionate artisans, united by the desire to preserve ancestral know-how and promote fair and responsible trade. At NYUKKI, we work exclusively with beekeepers who value tradition and respect ecosystems. We firmly believe that nature can only be commanded by obeying it. That is why our hives remain in their natural environment, without ever disturbing natural cycles.
By buying their production at the best price, we also improve the living conditions of these families, often based in remote rural areas. Each recyclable glass jar reflects this commitment: a raw, unprocessed product that honours the bees and preserves biodiversity.
Full Traceability
Every NYUKKI honey carries the full story of its origin. We do not simply sell a jar of honey: we offer you a window onto a specific territory and ancestral know-how.
On each product, you will find the country of origin and the type of honey. Above all, we add no additives or preservatives, and we refuse pasteurisation. The honey stays raw, alive and authentic, packed in a recyclable glass jar to preserve all its qualities.
It is this transparency that makes NYUKKI much more than a brand: a true house of exceptional African products for lovers of fine food.
