Description
Cactus honey comes from the desert south of Madagascar, around Toliara (Tuléar). Bees forage on the flowers of Didiereaceae, spiny plants found only in Madagascar and often called cacti. Their blossoming, and therefore the harvest, varies from year to year. The honey is jarred without being heated or pasteurised.
What you will taste
A light golden colour and a smooth, rich texture. The nose is delicate and floral. On the palate, it is very sweet and slightly fruity, with a long finish.
How to enjoy it
To sweeten yoghurt, kefir or a smoothie instead of sugar. On simple buttered toast. And in your homemade beauty care: sugar scrub, face mask or lip balm.
